Bedtime with Jonah last night...
Daddy: I love you Jonah. I can still remember the day you were born. I looked into your eyes and understood what it means to be made in the image of God and you made me feel like I was born again. And now, every minute I spend with you makes me feel more and more human.

Today I had the opportunity to spend 45 minutes with Dr Blaine Charette. On our car ride from Tyndale Seminary to Pearson International Airport we talked about Pneumatology, church growth, Roger Stronstad, Mark Driscoll and the beautiful city of Seattle, which he calls home. He shared some great advice that will help as I prepare to dive back in to my thesis and I treated* him to a cool lime...

Tonight we were at a friend’s house for dinner and I remarked: “I want us to be the kind of friends who pull out our instruments after supper to play music and sing songs into the night.” And that’s exactly what we did.

Went to the homestead with my wife, son and dog this evening. Had dinner with my parents. Looked at photos with my grandmother. Walked through the fields with my boy and had a bon fire. So many memories of yesteryear; so much hope for tomorrow. Really, really good night. I feel content, whole.
