The Royal Wedding Sermon: ”In a sense every wedding is a Royal Wedding; with the bride and the groom as king and queen of creation, making a new life together so that life can flow through them into the future” (Right Reverend Doctor Richard Chartres, bishop of London).

Living in the Present (by Helen Mallicoat)
I was regretting the past And fearing the future. Suddenly my Lord was speaking: “My name is I Am.” He paused. I waited. He continued, When you live in the past With its mistakes and regrets, It is hard. I am not there, My name is not I WAS”. When you live in the future With its problems and fears, It is hard. I am not there. My name is not I WILL BE. When you live in this moment, It is...

hope is a one way street
hope is a one way street and all the people that you meet line the edges of its cobblestone
once you head southbound there’s no hope in hell you’ll turn around this road is not much wider than an alleyway
lift up your head though the storm cloud’s a-comin’ the sun will rise again
we hope for things unseen and we sit here waiting sometimes patiently even though we somehow...

Words and Music by Ben Wright Inspired by Galatians 5:22, 23
There is love in our hearts today There is joy, it’s the prayer we pray We hope for peace And for the patience to endure Kindness flows out from our souls Goodness grows as we learn to call you, “Lord” Be enthroned on our highest praise We long for faithfulness to be our song The truth in gentleness will make us...

Have you ever felt like one of the kids in the big...
“Anyway, I keep picturing all these little kids playing some game in this big field of rye and all. Thousands of little kids, and nobody’s around - nobody big, I mean - except me. And I’m standing on the edge of some crazy cliff. What I have to do, I have to catch everybody if they start to go over the cliff - I mean if they’re running and they don’t look where...

(Be) ANXIOUS (for nothing).
I’m anxious.
I have a job interview at 1:00 p.m. and a doctor’s appointment at 3:10 p.m. Two of my least favourite things in one afternoon. Yipee.
I read books on how to deal with anxiety,
I memorize scriptures that contain Jesus’ wisdom on the issue,
I even take little magic anti-anxiety pills.
And yet, I still worry.
Deep inside there’s an inkling of...

Small Rebellions (Jars of Clay)
God of the break and shatter Hearts in every form still matter In our weakness help us see That alone we’ll never be Lifting any burdens off our shoulders If our days could be filled with small rebellions Senseless, brutal acts of kindness from us all If we stand between the fear and firm foundation Push against the current and the fall God of the warn and tattered All of Your people matter...

Joshua 5:13-14
Challenge: next time you’re watching the news or something on a faith-based television network and north americans are characterized as “good” or “christian” and middle easterners are characterized as “evil” or “muslim” remember that,
When Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his...

Skeleton Bones, by John Mark McMillan
Peel back our ribs again and stand inside of our chest. We just wanna’ love you We just wanna’ love you Peel back the veil of time And let us see You with our naked eyes We just wanna’ love you We just wanna’ love you We want your blood to flow Inside our body We want your wind inside our lungs We just wanna’ love you We just wanna’ love you Skeleton bones stand...
